The purpose of an affiliate program is to make money.  It's supposed to make money for both the affiliate manager AND the affiliate.








What to look for in an affiliate program
 (if you want to make money) 


    

    

  • the price of the product(s) or service is not too low
     affiliate does not have to make too many referral sales in order to make decent money
    • 

    

  • the price of the product(s) or service is not too high
     if price is too high few people buy it and the affiliate makes little or no money
    • 

    

  • the product(s) or service is high desire, high demand
     it is something people strongly want or strongly need to have.  It triggers "I really really really want that" or I really really really need that" 
    • 

    

  • product(s) or service is relatively simple
    
if people can't understand it, or if it's too complicated to use, they don't buy it ... and the affiliate makes no referral commissions
